AfterSchool Review

NAA is now accepting manuscripts for the Spring 2008 issue of the AfterSchool Review. The topic for this issue is, "Science in Afterschool.” We are looking for a variety articles focused on anything that incorporates science learning in afterschool programs. Topics may address practices, models and research on the environment, global warming, space, etc.
Manuscripts must follow the Author’s Guidelines for The AfterSchool Review and should be submitted to afterschoolreview@naaweb.org. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2008.
AfterSchool Review, the National AfterSchool Associations’ professional publication for the afterschool professional community, focuses on up-to-date research, theory, resources, effective afterschool practices, and public policy and advocacy and provides NAA members and affiliated organizations with a forum for discussion on issues and ideas in the afterschool and out-of-school time field.
The AfterSchool Review is augmented by an annual issue of the popular youth development journal titled New Directions for Youth Development. National Conference participants are given a complimentary copy of the journal. The issue from the 2007 NAA Conference is still available for $10 (for NAA members) and $12 (for nonmembers).
